To open Command Prompt as Administrator in Windows, follow one of these methods:
✅ Method 1: From Start Menu (most common)
- Press the Windows key or click the Start menu.
- Type:
cmd
- In the search results, you’ll see Command Prompt.
- Right-click it and select “Run as administrator.”
- If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
✅ Method 2: Using Run Dialog
- Press
Windows + R
to open the Run dialog. - Type:
cmd
- Press
Ctrl + Shift + Enter
instead of just Enter — this opens it with administrator rights. - Click Yes if asked for permission.
