As 40dB attenuation in the circuit, then need to add 40dB to reading on VNA. Once this is done, it is clear that the SAWBird produces roughly 40dB of amplification = S21 Logmag 10dB = 0.15dB ==> amplification = 0.15dB+40dB = 40.15dB.
