UKRAA PicoMuon Muon Detector up and running

Thanks to Ted Cline who helped me get this up and running on Sunday evening. Now that it is going, it is a wonderful little machine – composed of 2 detectors in congruence mode and the webpage it creates (with help of separate Raspberry PI supplied by user) allow the data to be viewed more effectively than was possible with the Cosmic Watch muon detectors – unless you could write your own analysis software……I am still working on that one for my older muon detectors – got quite a bit of data to analyse!

But such problems are a thing of the past with this new detector – a single neat unit – the new double detector unit comes in cheaper than buying two of the old ones used to be with more data and options available on device and via external connections.

Data from my new machine can be viewed at www.astronomy.icu – this updates at 8am daily.
