If Microsoft Teams recorded your meeting, the location of the video depends on your Teams setup and whether your organization uses Microsoft Stream (classic) or OneDrive/SharePoint (the newer default). Here’s how to find it:
1. Check the Meeting Chat
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Go to the Chat associated with the meeting.
- Look for a post that says “Meeting recording”.
- Click the link — this usually opens the recording in OneDrive/SharePoint or Stream depending on your organization.
2. Check OneDrive or SharePoint
- For channel meetings, the recording is saved in the SharePoint folder of that channel:
Teams > Channel > Files tab > Recordings - For private meetings (or non-channel meetings), the recording is saved in the OneDrive “Recordings” folder of the person who started the recording:
OneDrive > My files > Recordings
3. Microsoft Stream (for older setups)
If your organization still uses Stream (classic):
- Go to Microsoft Stream.
- Click My content > Videos.
- Look for the recording of your meeting.
4. Check Your Email
Teams usually sends an email notification with a link to the recording once it’s processed. You can open it directly from there.
