List of variants of 5650A rubidium frequency time standard

The official February 1998 FEI FE-5650A manual gives the following option numbers. Importantly, these are options that could be combined, rather than 40 completely separate models.

That’s the complete option list in the 1998 FEI manual.

The important ones for my particular 5650A

There are three fundamentally different power configurations:

Normal FE-5650A

  • Pin 1 = +15 to +18 V
  • Pin 2 = 15 V return
  • Pin 4 = +5 V
  • Pin 5 = 5 V return

Option 20

  • Pin 1 = +15 V
  • Pin 2 = return
  • Pin 4 unused
  • No separate 5 V supply

Option 25

  • Pin 1 = +22–32 V
  • Pin 2 = return
  • Pin 4 unused

FEI explicitly confirms these three arrangements in the manual.
