Calculating the decibel gain from my Alex Pettit Patch Yagi Antenna (1420MHz) (LRO-H3) using data collected with ezCol from Easy Radio Astronomy Software

I used a screen recorder to record time-lapse of the ezCol screen over 24 hours then choose the frame with maximum gain demonstrated for hydrogen.

Calculation of decibels involved:

20 x log10 (Maximum peak of hydrogen / baseline average level on same frame)

= 20 x log10 (1.05 / 0.925)

= 1.100 decibel gain
