What is design working temperature of Nooelec NESDR Smartee software defined radio?

The (Nooelec NESDR Smartee) USB SDR dongle does not have a publicly listed official “design or operating temperature range” in its published specifications from Nooelec. The manufacturer datasheets and product pages discuss thermal design, heatsinking, and that the unit can run warm during use, but they do not specify a guaranteed working temperature range (e.g., 0 °C–+50 °C) like you might find in industrial hardware specs.

What is known about temperature behaviour:

  • Nooelec designs the SMT and Smartee series with aluminium enclosures, internal heatsinks and thermal pads to reduce board-level temperatures and improve stability.
  • Users commonly report the enclosure can become warm or hot to the touch during normal operation; this is considered typical behaviour.
