Running Two separate SDRplay RSPduo Devices in SDRuno
You actually have two completely separate RSPduo units, and you want to see both running in SDRuno simultaneously. 👍
Here’s how you can set that up:
🖥️ Running Two RSPduo Devices in SDRuno
1. Connect Both RSPduos
- Plug both RSPduo units into USB ports.
- Connect their antennas as you wish.
- The SDRplay API will recognize them as separate devices.
2. Launch the First SDRuno Instance
- Open SDRuno.
- In the Main Panel → OPT → Select Input, choose RSPduo #1 (it should be listed with its serial number).
- Configure as usual (single tuner, dual tuner, etc.).
3. Launch the Second SDRuno Instance
- Open another copy of SDRuno (just start it again from the desktop or Start menu).
- In this second instance, go to OPT → Select Input.
- This time select RSPduo #2Â (the other unit).
- Now each SDRuno session is bound to a separate device.
4. Arrange Windows
- You’ll now have two full SDRuno workspaces running — one for each RSPduo.
- Arrange them side-by-side so you can watch both spectra/waterfalls at once.
5. Keep in Mind
- âś… Each SDRuno instance is completely independent (tuning, gain, bandwidth, recording).
- âś… Each can be recording I/Q or audio separately.
- ⚠️ CPU load will increase significantly when running two full SDRuno instances. A modern multi-core machine is recommended.
- ⚠️ Make sure both devices have unique serial numbers (they usually do from factory). If not, they can be reprogrammed using SDRplay’s utility, otherwise SDRuno may confuse them.
Because SDRuno itself doesn’t let you mix multiple hardware devices into a single workspace — but two instances gives you that functionality.
